Celestial Serpent Spinner – Rose gold and Diamonds

The Celestial Serpent Spinner Pendant is hand made in 9ct rose gold. An uneven tablet design is has an ancient feel. One side of the tablet is hand engraved with a snake or serpent, the other side is carefully and strategically set with star set diamonds. The diamonds correspond to the shape of the snake, meaning that when the table is spun quickly the snake appears to sparkle with a constellation diamonds.

Snakes and serpents have been prominent in jewellery throughout the ages and across many cultures and civilisations. Snakes have represented gods, been linked to the underworld, been a symbol of medicine and embellished royalty as as sign of high status in ancient cultures. In more recent times while worn as adornment snakes and serpents generally represent love, rebirth and rejuvenation, as well as feature heavily in mourning jewellery.
